Cafe Del Sol in Hanau

I used to be here often, but unfortunately the constant quality of the cuisine has deteriorated a bit, so it is sometimes a gamble whether the food is good or bad. The prices, on the other hand, have risen sharply and constantly in recent years. Strangely enough, every time I have visited I have noticed that the waitress has dropped a few glasses from the tray. Every time something breaks. It's kind of like a running gag when you're out to eat at Cafe Del Sol. You almost wait for it to clink. Last time, however, it hit my wife's dress. The cleaning was taken over without any problems, but you somehow get the feeling that high quality, both in service and in the kitchen, is no longer as important as it used to be. It's a shame, as the food and especially the delicious Cafe Del Sol sauce has drawn me here again and again.

Very good location. The quality of the hot drinks seems to have suffered a bit, but is within limits. I can recommend it for an evening with my partner or friends.

We spent a nice and entertaining Sunday brunch over 4 hours there with an extensive, lovingly served and tasty buffet. The many waitresses were all very attentive and friendly. Nothing was lacking. The location is at ground level, directly on a larger street, and yet it is quiet, cozy and you can leave everyday life behind you in this ambience. I really like the size and interior of the location, its open architecture and the spatial delimitation on two levels. Not the cheapest address in terms of price, but fully appropriate for the range, quality and service. So 5 stars from my point of view and definitely worth a visit.

The ambience was very good, but the food was very bad. No fresh ingredients, sometimes cold and not appetizing. It's okay to have a drink. But we certainly don't go out to eat there anymore.

The food or breakfast was good and plentiful The service wasn't special Waited a quarter of an hour to order something to drink again while we brought breakfast, forgot all plates and cutlery and in between we didn't even ask whether something was missing to drink. Food did not come together, so that some had already finished eating while the others were still waiting. Schnitzel was a better shoe sole, was about to let it go. Half of the pasta dish was missing. Never again under current management!

Great brunch with a large selection of dishes and delicious coffee. Service was great! I would love to come back.

Like many other customers, we had to wait over an hour for our food. When it finally arrived it was good. Unfortunately got the fries from someone else, although I didn't order any.

Service could be improved. Waited 20 minutes for a drink today. What do the staff do when the restaurant can be fully occupied again? It used to be much better. Can't recommend the Café del Sol in Hanau anymore ...

The location is appealing. The food and drinks are good, only the service is unfortunately underground. As an example, our experience from tonight: we had to wait 45 minutes before we could get to our reserved table. Not a big problem that nobody asked us in the whole time if we would like something to drink. We were only served at the table when we drew attention to ourselves. Unfortunately the food didn't come but the cutlery. We had to take care of it ourselves and no one even apologized. After the meal, plates and glasses were cleared away and we were not asked whether the food was tasty or whether we would like to have something to drink. The rest of the evening we sat at an empty table. Unfortunately this is not an isolated case. I have eaten here 5 times in the past 2 months and the service has been poor each time.

Nice ambience. Delicious meal. Service totally overwhelmed! Restaurant not even half full. Ashtray was not brought at all. Cutlery for the starter was brought on request. Have to wait half an hour for the second round of drinks. Ketchup was brought in when the plate was empty.

We were there on a Saturday evening at 8.30 am and the shop was half full at the first attempt to order, we were told that 2 dishes were already out that we wanted to order after the waiter had made another round and we ordered another dish instead of us directly to say what's sold out. When we asked the waiter about the dressing in the salad he said "that's a good question" which he couldn't answer and didn't ask for us either. When the food arrived we also got cutlery at the table 5 minutes later from another waiter. The food was hardly seasoned and the side dishes were almost completely cold. The only good things about the evening were the drinks and the location.

Very nice to have breakfast and have a good time. Nice service in spite of a mask requirement. Good selection and now with a breakfast buffet again.

Nice atmosphere and the two service staff who served us were nice and in a good mood. We ordered two burgers that looked delicious, but unfortunately weren't really warm. My girlfriend and I both had problems afterwards. Didn't come down from the toilet 😤 I have no idea what was wrong there. The prices are partly OK, but partly also heavy. Conclusion: I would probably not eat here anymore, but for a cozy evening with drinks it is okay

Really great! We got a table at very short notice. The restaurant itself is super nicely decorated. The food is great and the staff are very friendly and spread a good mood. I can only recommend it!

I would immediately replace the 2 service ladies in your place. Isn't that it would be well attended with you ... you should be grateful for every guest who comes and not be taught outrageously. We don't care, we are now having a nice breakfast with super friendly staff who will get a very good tip.

Nice location in Hanau, with a small and fine menu. There are plenty of parking spaces on site, so you can always find a place. The staff is very nice and attentive, you never have to wait long even when it is full. Corona concept is well implemented, you can register at the table using the QR code and also view the digital menu. Beware of the tables in the outside area, as these are only tripods, there is a great risk that they will tip over when propping themselves up. Unfortunately, my last companion tipped her full wine glass on me and my pants. But the service was very quick with napkins on site to wipe the table dry again. Otherwise everything was fine and we always like to come back here.

Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours for drinks and food, before that we had been forgotten after the placement. Only about 30% of the café was occupied by guests. Dirty plates were served at the next table. When asked whether you could get a clean plate, the (presumably) manager replied that he was not responsible. The cutlery at our table wasn't clean either. The service was friendly and accommodating.

The restaurant is very nicely set up. The food and drinks were very good too. The waitress was really busy, but always found time and took care of everything quickly

The place and the terrace is nice, unfortunately they did have many things from the menu making it almost a joke to find something to order. Service was good as I said the inventory from food was not really good planned.

Food is good with outdoor sitting and parking available, but waiters are a bit forgetful and less caring which can be annoying if you receive your sauce when your food is almost over.

Fantastic place for dinning

The food is great and affordable but the service is terrible....! It wouldn’t hurt the waiters to smile or be polite... no tip from me! Tiny cups of cheese are served with pasta and they charge you for more.... not even exaggerating about the tiny portion. Plus it took them 10 minutes to bring it. Really disappointing because the place itself looks great and the food is nice too. One waiter was even busy rubbing one waitress‘s back...

My first date ever in Germany was in Cafe del sol hanau , I was very excited and i purpose my girlfriend there front of 150 people's. I love this place❤❤😍

Exceptional!

I've eaten here several times with both friends and family with great success ... the food is good and the staff has always been friendly. It might be a good idea to have a reservation for eating here since the best tables, heck all the tables fill up quickly. The house red wine is pretty good!!!

The beer was good the service was good, the atmosphere was good and the pizza was good , I cannot speak for all menu items or all times of the busy or not busy times. I do not however recommend the curry wurst because the sausage used for their curry wurst get old after about 5 bites. Overall they do a good job Signed. "The black Smurf"
